Our Mission
Young People Arise, established in 2018, is a faith-based nonprofit organization serving children and youth throughout the Detroit area. We believe that our young people are the heartbeat of the future—and that with the right guidance, love, and opportunity, they can rise to their fullest potential. At Young People Arise, we understand that one person can make a difference, but it truly takes a village to raise a child. Our organization is committed to cultivating a P.U.R.E. culture for youth—Purpose-Driven, United, Resilient, and Exceptional. We empower young people to embrace education, self-esteem, and self-awareness, while fostering unity through healthy relationship-building. By providing positive support, we strengthen resilience and tenacity,
ensuring that youth can rise above challenges. Through mentorship, skill-building, and faith-based guidance, we equip youth to recognize and embrace their exceptional, God-given talents and abilities. With this approach, we position our programs as transformational pathways that prepare the next generation to thrive as confident,
capable, and purpose-led leaders in their communities.

Our Vision is to empower a P.U.R.E (Purpose-Driven, United, Resilient, Exceptional) culture for youth.

Young People Arise is not only a safe haven for children, but it's also expected by parents whose children are involved. Although YPA is a distance from our location, they are adamant about meeting the needs of the YOUTH in its entirety.
My children look forward to setting aside time to virtually chime in to hear a Word from God, express their concerns about what is going on in the world, participate in activities, fellowship with others and more importantly, they like receiving life application techniques that equip them, to face their everyday trials. The leaders at YPA receive the youth as if they are their own.

Young People Arise has allowed me to flourish in my relationship with Christ and to be linked up with other young believers. We get to all pour out into each other and relate in the struggles we have as saved teens. These meetings help me to stay on top of reading the Word, so that when a person needs encouragement, the Spirit gives me a scripture to pour out. Even in the small competitions we do, they deal with the Word of God and keep everyone on their toes.
It's a blessing to be a part of such a powerful group and to hear that I'm not alone in my walk with Christ.
